Charlie Brown...

Or was it...LUCY?...back in the day...like way back...was the cartoon strip that everyone read...satire, I suppose...that eventually made it to the TV screen...even before the name of "pixels" even came to be...I dunno, the inventors probably used it...but what I am referring to, is the infamous pix of Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown...to kick it..."ha ha Charlie Brown"...get this...on this day back in...gulp...1952!...

And so...the NFL has been doing their own version of altering the kick ever since...got to the point that the league felt it was too automatic...so they moved the attempt further away...it truly is amazing how many games are won or lost due to errant kicks...after these huge humans smack each other for like 60 minutes...it comes down to the Lucy's and Charlie Browns of the world...to trot out and decide the fate of the big guys..."ah nuts"...

College Football Playoffs...egads...this ugly scene rears up again...as a "select" committee of 12 meet to figure out the top 25, and more importantly, the final 4 for the opp to win the championship...there are only two undefeated teams left...Alabama (the foregone conclusion as the champ) and Western Michigan...who gets no kudos from the dirty dozen...

Last week was a bizarre one...as 4 of the top teams got beat...and many thought that would shake up the standings...not so much...there was very little change at the top...notice that many of the top 10 slots are filled in by the Big 10 (er, 14)...who beats who...quality of schedule...blah blah blah...wonder where SDSU would be if they hadn't stubbed their toe in Southern Alabama...for most of the informed country, this process is way frustrating...$...follow the $...

As the protesting movement dies down...and reality comes forth...Prez-elect Trump continues HIS selection process for HIS staff...now THAT is something to protest about, some would say...you know, when you buck the system...not really representing the Repubs in the election, it it hard to name people...that actually supported him in it...I mean, he can't name his family as the members of his staff...right?...well, maybe Ivanka...

Other than he, who came out of the election as a winner?...without a doubt Megyn Kelly...pretty much can write her own contract for any network...got to figure a bunch of the anchor peops don't like it...as they can see her taking their spots over...would not surprise me one bit...

Been awhile since I have had this iPhone 7 plus in my hands...time to give you my review...the camera is like having a hand held jobbie...as we try to make our lives easier, this is worth the cash...the battery life is only a tad bit better...all other parts are like the 6 plus...I did get the $650 credit for the old one...which is now not offered...at least by Verizon...hey, it's like a little computer...

My golfing buds are all scrambling a bit for the upcoming Thanksgiving, including moi...so, I have very few dates of hacking scheduled...today was one that fell apart....so...I am writing instead...

I've had this book for over 6 months now..."Girl on the Train"...thought I would read it on the airplane...nope...my goal is to get started on it while I am vacationing from the golf world...

Speaking of vacays...we are going to Vegas for the holiday...got this terrific deal at the Mirage...again...looks like a buffet din din for Thanksgiving...anyway, we did get tix for a show...the one and only...drum roll please...Olivia Newton John...not Elton..."Let's Get Physical"...
