The Greatest

Not too many people have that as their moniker..."The Greatest"...Muhammad Ali...who died yesterday at the age of 74...a role model for many, especially in the Black Communities throughout the world, not just the USA...when boxing was "the" sport...he had it all...his life's journeys will be shown through out the weekend most everywhere...I can remember going to the Salem Armory and watching a fight with Sonny Liston...just got sat down and it was over...think it cost me $5...a lot for a TV screen viewing...his grace and speed were like no other...

I had a feeling that I would have trouble with the 6:42 am tee time...slept right through the alarm...takes me 30 minutes to get to El Cajon...so...nope...I'm a no show at the course...thus, you all are getting me a talking...I guess you win...

Got a big tickle yesterday as I was watching the ladies play their T in the LPGA in Jersey...as the interviewer was probing...Gerina Piller...that's her name...who's in the hunt after the 1st round..."you're gonna go rest up for the round tomorrow?..."...she replied, "no way, we are going to the Luke Bryan Concert"...took the bloke by surprise...and asked for extra tix...Piller is married to a PGA Pro, Martin Piller...how about that, they both are on their respective tours...can't think of another couple doing that...can you?...

The John Daly Show is now on the senior circuit...got to see the bloke bogey 4 straight...including a 4 putt green...ouch!...and the Memorial...the cream is slowly rising...Rory and Jordan were paired yesterday...guess what the pixels followed in it's entirety?...duh...

Odd...the line on the Pads/Rockies game last night favored the Padres...I was bewildered...as you know, we are playing with a major odor about us...well now, Matty Kemp, hit a tape measure dinger in the 1st...3 run shot...we then added a steal of home...really?...by BJ (Mel, Jr) Upton...and made that hold up...terrific pitching by lefty Pomeranz...BTW, a former Rockie...and we hung on for the win...I tell you, the bookie dudes seem to always know...

Who is this Luke Bryan feller?...country guy...has a voice that sort of sounds like Gomer Pyle...well, now...I am taking you deeper...who is that?...a regular on the Andy Griffith Show...wait...what is that?...it ran from 1960-68...who do you remember from it?...Aunt Bee?...Don Knotts?...Opie?...who turned out to be the director of many movies...and was the star of the infamous flick, "American Graffiti"... shoot, get out and buy or rent it...it's a feel good one...

Is it just me or...has the Donald made more and more bizarre statements...he just sticks his foot in his mouth regularly...how about this...Paul Ryan is going to vote for Trump...the Hilz...will she win Cali?...if not...hmmm...well, you can guess the chaos...this shakes out Tuesday...we have already voted...got some stickers that say so...wore them with pride...funny, we were the only ones that had them on....what's that mean?...

Speaking of concerts...we have one on Tuesday out at the Belly Up in Solana Beach...the gal singer from American Idol, a couple of seasons back...Haley Reinhardt ( and guest)...remember her?...we have never been to this complex...we have reserved seats...a hot commodity...gonna take the train there...and "Lyft" it home....it's a cluster there at this time of year...the Del Mar Fair is going on simultaneously , too...

A century ago...for you brain disabled dudes, that's a hundred years...1916...before WWI...hmmm...Cliffy you remember this?...I digress...there was this MLB team out of Philly...the Athletics...went 36-117...oh my...set countless records of futility...their SS committed 78 errors...their pitching horrible...in one game gave up 18 walks...must have been bad umping...2 of the pitchers went 2-36...the legendary Connie Mack was the mgr...then were nicknamed the "Pathetics"...see, SD peops, it's not so bad....

And yes...I did drop by Ralph's...got a 4 pack...2 maple frosted, a choc frosted, and a lemon frosted and filled...guess which one I DIDN"T have?...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ... A trial, indeed... In data released by trump's own government...the largest groups of detainees...the Icetapo's achievement of rounding up people...are not the ones with ANY CRIMINAL RECORD , but, 'illeg...
