The Definitive Comments

Alas, we are have completed the whirlwind travel excursions...by air and by train...we have lots to tell you'll about...it was all way fun...and also tiring...here goes...

The kids got married...it was a grand experience...er, wedding...each part was perfect...and their love was quite evident...duh...have to tell you, Montecito and Santa Barbara are marvelous sites...they got hitched in a small service on the Montecito Beach...it was way cool...I think they were in barefeet...at least the blokes were...then went to La Cumbre GC for the celebration...it's their club...for a festive brunch...topped the day off with a cruise around the bay...in a yacht, er, something like that...I tell ya, the kids have great friends...anyway, congrats to Cris and Leila...

The NBA finals are set...the east has the Cleveland Cavs again...well, wherever Lebron is, that's who the east plops up...no match...he is the best that side of the bracket has...and, from the west...coming back from a 3-1 deficit, was the Golden St Warriors...we were in a bar in SB for game 6 as they rallied and won that one...the crowd was delirious...last night...was the final...

I'm not going to be popular on this...OKC should have won...but their defensive game plan was odious...GS found that if they ran picks by their big guy (s), that the Thunder would switch...and the long range bombers, Curry and Thompson, would get their shots off the big old center...OKC never recouped...and...they only played 7 dudes...their stars were tired at the crucial time...in the 4th Q...not the Warriors, as they rotated guys...properly...oh well...I loved it...as I want the GS/Cleve matchup...

I guess Jordan Spieth is back...really...as he birdied the final 3 holes for a huge win in Texas...including a pitch in and a long, long putt on the 18th...the one thing about golf...your memory has to be short...cuz, you got another shot...right away...and...if you do win a T...it's worth a million bucks...if that's not enough impetus to get going, I don't know what is...

Did you see the gator on the GC in Sarasota, Florida?...it's been a shown on Facebook...almost resembles a beast, like 1000 years ago...15 feet long...and absolutely huge...there is a dumb dude taking it's picture...amazing...BTW, don't reach in the lakes for your errant golf balls in the southeast...I'm just a saying...

Staying in the animal world...by now, I'm sure you have seen the kid who found his way into a gorilla cage in a zoo...subsequently, the officials had to put down the gorilla...to save the kid...I always have reservations about zoos...the safety of them and us...talking the caged ones, mostly...who's to blame?...I dunno...but for goodness, sakes...take care of your kid...

I'm saving the Padres for last...as that's where they dwell...another shellacking last eve...this time, by the resurgent ancient Mariners...I kept getting asked this Q, "who do you pull for when you live in Oregon?"...referring to pro sports...my response was Seattle and San Francisco...and the Blazers...kinda sucks, huh...well, now...it's the Pads...I think I spend more time rapping the management...who has done a horrible job putting this season's version together...
