Post Vegas

Hey kids...just a quickie to let you know how things have been going...how about this little gem...my new golf ball marker...way cool, huh...

The trip to Vegas was awesome...stayed at our fav, the Mirage...super room with a pool view...the weather was perfect...like 79*-80*...great layout rays...just too much to do in a short trip...we will go back in July for a longer stay...

Had terrific luck at the off track...plenty of beverages for both M and I...the bucks were good, too...ate at a Japanese and then a Chinese Restaurant...go figure...Mr Chow...a bit spendy, but we met one of our friends from Gaslamp City Square there...so it was priceless...she works in Vegas now...fun times reminiscing...

We laugh, as we didn't go to any buffet...which are simply awesome there...of course, we went thru the Forum Shops at Caesars...hey...walking down Las Vegas Blvd at night is a sight...all in itself...I made a Quik show of it all...text me if you want a copy...

OK, we had tix for Jennifer Lopez...you know, JLo...well...for us...it was terrible...great seats...but it is more of a dance show, rather than singing...and her banter with the crowd was much like a 13 year old would do....hmmm....maybe we are just too elderly for the type of show she does...maybe she is too old for the type of show she puts on...ha ha...damn...we passed on a Greatest Hits Show of Santana...mistakes...

Well, we have but a few hours respite...as we head on up for Cris's marriage...taking the train...it will be a blast and we are so proud of them to finally get hitched...who says we want to be grandparents?...we do...badly...and it's all about us...

Lots of commotion around the GQ...as the Donald is speaking over at the Convention Center today...protestors making a scene...we laugh, as while in Vegas...the Hilz was giving a money raising speech to a labor union AT OUR HOTEL...while we were there...not a peep from anyone...hmmm...I have this feeling...

So...I'll be off here for another couple of days...you understand....have a great Memorial Day...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
