A Clang Fest

Clang, bang, boom...went the sound of the hoops...as the basketball caromed off the rim...in one of the poorer played and shot...Playoff games you'd see...yup...the Blazers and the Clip Joint...let me tell you about it...

First there were the pundits...the Golden St Warriors star guard, and league MVP...Steph Curry is out of action for at least 2 weeks...bum knee...and the "experts" had them losing this season to the Clippers...finally, they said...hmmm...wait a minute Charlie...LA is embroiled in a donnybrook up in PDX...NOT a pushover...however, to the sports goons, it is...er, was...

The Trailblazers played with passion...albeit with little luck on their shooting and their plays...but...it was better than their "anointed" opponent, the Clip Joint...who were a bit worse...looked like it would go down to the last minute...kind of like an old time NBA game...

Then...pop!...LA's star PG, CP III, goes down with a broken hand...got caught in a jersey...their star PF, Blake Griffin, hobbles around with a hammy...and...Portland takes full advantage and mops the floor...wins by 14...BOOM!...the pundits are reeling...

The series is now tied 2-2...heads back south...however...Chris Paul is done...Griffin is a maybe...and don't look now...but the team that could, and I mean, could maybe, beat the Warriors...is the TrailBlazers...hmmm...now THAT is a long shot...

Have to admit, the audacity of the sports writers may have fueled the PDX team...would have me...maybe too much...still...the stage is set...hang on to your Rip City gear, kids...you may be wearing them longer than anybody thought you would...
