BIG Dance

Big BIG Dance...hey now...we all knew there was balance in this year's D-1 hoops...the games show us just that...nothing more exciting than a 1/2 court shot to win the game...and here we go...in it's finality...you are one and done...or you move on....picking the 32 games can be fun and daunting...no more so that if you are a participant in the real thing...

One of the favs, throughout the land...is, er, was Michigan St...with the unproclaimed top coach in Tom Izzo...and the best player in the land, D Valentine...in as a number 2 seed and playing a patsy in Middle Tennessee St, a no. 15...more famous for some alums that are country hit singers...like Lady A's Hillary Scott...I digress...whoa, MTS jumped out to a 15-2 lead...or so...weathered the Spartan comeback...and destroyed MSU and many of the brackets all over the USA...

One number one...that did it's thang...was the Oregon Ducks...totally demolished the Holy Cross...er, Holy Cross...isn't that unfair to have a name like that for your U?...and then beat 'em up?...I may be wrong about the PNW team...they are very talented and athletic...shoot, all these teams are...

To end the 1st round were some doozies...Northern Iowa with a prayer, too...a 1/2 court banker for a win over Texas...exciting...and then the dunk to win, then lose, the St Joe/Cincy game...have to say, that the light on the backboard is essential for correctness...easy to look at for the replay...the refs?...not a fan...like I said last blog...inconsistency is a prob...and NO!...quit calling T's on coaches in this tournament...there is too much at stake for their job security...

Where the heck is Stephen F. Austin?...beat one of my picks in West Virginia...figured the Mountaineer marauding full court pressure would handle whomever that school is...Texas somewhere?...geez...how many peops had that one?...

All and all, this was an enjoyable start...some facts...the bloody RPI was dead wrong on the Pac12 and the Big Ten...there needs to be other criteria used to pick the 68 deserving teams...you think OSU is better than SDSU?...no way in he__....there are so many other teams like this...and...is there a front runner?...NO!...it will take some great skill and luck to move on...for all these...just try and pick the 2nd round winners...I'll bet the best YOU can do is 12...out of 16...

Had the best time...got to play golf with my son...out at Sycuan...albeit, my game is off right now...but the fun part was playing with him...it is priceless...and his game is not off...however, the not so good side...Cris came early...and Leila took the train...mishaps galore...the train lost power...had to be worked on...she had to take a bus out of Oceanside...needless to say, Amtrak is not ALWAYS the best...not sure, but I think we were talking an 8 hour fiasco...

Hey, have you changed your mail to gmail on your smart phone yet?...it is so much better...have had it like 4 or 5 days now...switched my iMac to it, too...not as dramatic as on the phone, but better, I think....at least it has some color...a diversion for us old people...

Twitter is 10 years old...hmmm...took me 7 years to use it...do you?...instant news...which I like...I do not get the pop ups, er, news flashes...whatever they are called...I'll look when I want...soon enuff for me....yet...a great app...

How's the political field doing?...not the top of the heap this weekend...whew...give us all a break...what I am reading is the continuos banter from the RNC...how they are going to stop the Trumpliner?...ah yes, your dirty tricks from your finest people in the land...???...who are behind the scenes of whatever happens in this country....at least, it's decisions...

Egads...the Pads got lambasted yet again...one of our possible starters gave up 3 dingers in his short stint...I know...there are those of you out there that say the Cactus League means nuttin....yes it does in this case...we are not hitting...we are not pitching...we are getting waxed most every game...and...the horizon looks a million miles away....really...you want my season tix for 1/2 price?...

Hulk Hogan awarded $150 million in the case of the Gawker sex tape...what is, er, was Gawker?...does it have that type of money?...well, not anymore...Hulk?...

Let's just settle in for some more hoops...just what the ladies want to hear...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... A Trial, Indeed

The revenge tour is ramping up ...as we gawk at the unchecked moves by trump ...even SCOTUS , the last leg of justice, is wobbling beneath his demands... this country is in disarray ...I wish I could give you better news... The unsightly attack of one of his Icetapo behemoths, on a lady in New York...taking her to the ground...an example of the uncontrolled behavior of that organization...guess that is what you call the group... simply, out of control, with NO LIMITS of force ...sad...and disgusting... The indictment of his former FBI head, James Comey ...for lying (imagine that from a legendary liar, trump) to Congress...this court case is needed for the country...to show the fallacy of the regime that is running rampant all over the land...it needs to be a BIG STAGE! ...
