Pods

Morning kids...not sure about the terminology...but the latest of the wonders of nature...off of the coast of La Jolla...just a tad bit north of us...no not the Great Whites...but pods of...get this...ANCHOVY fish...million of them...that swim together...to give the allusion of like oil...in the water...and are migrating up the coast...so cool...

The Pads, not the pods...did their thang last eve and got beat by the Rockies...2-1...geez, I think that most of the scores that they are in are one run losses or wins...I declare that they just may be the most boring team in beisbol...oh well, another try today...before heading to LA...

Not so enamored with the game of soccer...but Germany did a number on the host team Brazil...scoring 7 times...which is like a hundred in the US version of football...I did watch it...mostly due to me being home and there was a bit of interest...stomp...

OK, I did get the CSNY '74...listened to a few songs...and got it thru iTunes...which automatically downloads to my Apple TV...which I need to use more often...am really looking forward to the DVD of that concert....a bit spendy, by the way...the cheapest way is by what I did...look into it if you are a groupie like I am...

The bloke who got bit by the shark off the coast of LA...a repercussion of another fool who had the shark on his rod...as he was fishing it...what?...why would you be trying to get one of them creatures while there are swimmers and surfers right close by?...or, why would you be swimming or surfing right next to some bloke fishing?...

The NBA free agent thing is getting close to closure...the big ticket?...LeBron, Melo, Bosh, and Love...after that expect the dominoes to fall...no clue where they top 4 are going...probably depends on James...er, definitely does...

Your favorite old Repub candidate, Sarah Palin, is calling for the impeachment of Prez O...ah yes...she is a wonderful human being...and we are so lucky that McCain DID NOT win a bit back...yet, like the K fam, does have an audience...maybe the same people...ha ha...

MLB can be stupid...as they use the outcome of their all star game as the deciding factor for the home team advantage in the World Series...so there will be some credence to the game...c'mon...let it be for what it is...very stupid...

The Padre announcing team continues to be negative toward MLB's use of the replay system to check whether or not the umpire's decisions are right...they say it takes too long...this time, MLB is right...hey boyz, would you rather have the manager run on the field and kick the bag, swear at the guy in blue, and make a fool of himself...which always takes a lot more time...the call stays and the games suffers...get real and get the call right...

Hate to say this, but...it will be days before there are boots on the ground between Israel and the Palestinians...don't see a peaceful solution...and there will be lives that are lost...many...so sad...

You see where a Frontier Airlines pilot bought pizza for all his passengers while they were on an awful delay on the ground?...really cool...

Me hairs?...touch of gray...that's all...and did have Marsh fuming that I was going platinum...sent her a pix of way back when...I did...ha ha...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
