Vegas

Sorry kids, but I was busy!...you just don't sleep there...Vegas...stayed at the Mirage...part of the Mlife deal they have...and it is real lucrative...you must look in to it for great prices...especially for guys like me, who don't spend lots of dollars on the tables...alias, White Whales...definitely not me...

We went everywhere...visited the sights, that included the famous Bellagio Garden...which was emphasizing butterflies...very cool stuff...the new Aria...the sparkly Cosmopolitan...the building of the Quad...Gilley's at Treasure Island...Mon Amie Gabie at the Paris...Marsha's fav...the list goes on and on...

We went to a show...the Million Dollar Quartet...a music show about a meeting in '56 with the famous Sun Record peops...Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash......good golly miss molly, it was great fun...a can't miss part of your trip...you will be surprised...won't tell you much more...we had a private booth for it...just like old time Vegas...ha ha...

The Mirage itself was being renovated...the sports book, the BB King Restaurant, in particular...the pool is fantastic...we were blessed with awesome weather on Tuesday and laid out for all we wanted...we both got too much sun...imagine me red...and it was packed!...

Which leads me to this...you can't believe how many people are roaming the streets...it's like a summer day there...has to be a major destination for soooo many...of course, it helps that there are two college hoops tourneys just starting there...Pac 12 and the MWC...on one table that I actually spent some time at...had peops from Texas and London...really....the bloke from England said there was a non-stop from Heathrow and they always come here...

The negative...everywhere on the strip, somebody is trying to sell or give you something...and there are loads of street bums being who they are...you have to look straight ahead and act like they don't exist...if you stop, you will be harassed...

We ate at Ruths Chris...not so earth shaking but...it had just opened...a month ago...at Harrahs...and it is fabulous...so huge...and a great view...there is no better steak, kids...

We were there during mid-week, so not all the great acts are on stage...next time we will go on the weekend...and stay an extra day...with such a short stay you just can't get enough in...

It's a 55 minute flight from SD...we use Southwest...who do a great job...not sure if you use this airlines...I always pay for the early board fare...gets me A seats...just secures you that you get what you want...

One night we had a drink at Rhumba's...where you sit outdoors...order fruity margarita type drinks and smoke Hookas...whatever that is...of course, I lit up a stogie...and with the blokes in the next booth doing the same...there was some mighty whitey smoke filtering about....the peops across from us thought that the new Pope had been chosen...

Well kids, I am back...time to get out to the club and practice, practice, practice...
