A typical type Civil War game...throw out the records...bring in the pride...strap it
up...and you have the battle of the state...and in the 4th Q, the lead kept changing hands...in the end, it was the Ducks surviving...and getting the 6th straight of these...

Both teams were coming off abysmal showings in their last...which gave the illusion of a yawner...for this one...NOT...OSU played like they did a month ago...and were actually, gulp, the better team last night...it's true Duckee fans...the only thing that held them out of the victory was crappy play calling...UO, for the last month, can not stop the run...porous...and that's what got the Beavs going...and then they got cute and threw the ball, way too often...

I may be wrong on this...but...here's my theory...the Ducks were up by 1...and OSU was driving and inside the Duck 25...inching their way to a game winning FG...about 1:30 to go...Time Out...it appeared to me that the Ducks let the Beavs score on the next play...either that or their D turned absolutely atrocious...in a critical time...and thus got the ball back...and then, themselves, put on a spirited march down field for a spectacular throw and catch by Mariota and Huff...to win the game...

There are times when it's time to leave...and that bloke from Nebraska has worn his welcome out...not a place for the wicked and foolish...UDub beat WSU in the Apple Bowl...good...hate the foo from the Cougs...not the Cougs, but the coach...Ohio St and Mich...rumors are swirling that if the Wolverines don't win, it's the end for the former SDSU Coach (he who was here for 1 season before bolting to Mich)...Fresno St got pummeled by SJS, and fell from the unbeatens and the BSBCS...

It's that time of the NBA season that guys get tweaks and sit out games and all...CP111 did just that...and they were playing at Sac...still, they won, in OT...a very good sign...and...my headdress is off for the Bull's Rose, who may have played his last game...when you tear both knees up, in that game of twisting, turning, and jumping...the odds are against you coming back with the same ability and tenacity...too much fear....

There is this place out by Jerome's...you know the place...City Lights...where the entire store is Xmas stuff...trees, lights ornaments, etc...anything you can imagine...and M wanted another Santa for her collection...plus we needed some purple lights for the inside...so we hit the joint and mission accomplished...if it is made, it is there...way cool....

Watched a great college hoop game last eve, too...SDSU upsetting Creighton...the 20th ranked team in the nation...which reminds me of the Pete Maravich's LSU team of the late 60's...now don't get racial on me...but they have some huge white kids in the front court...the Aztecs play tough, full court, D...very athletic...the played at Fullerton St...whose gym resembles a high school one...holds like 4500 or so...odd...with the following of SDSU, you could play it at the Lakers Palace...

Do the Aussie golfers get a break?...it's their season now...
