A Good Un

The season started with a bang!...some good uns...Utah surviving at home versus their cross state rival, Utah St...it was really a close one and fun to watch...and Ol Miss scoring miraculously to beat upstart Nashville's own Vanderbilt...great game...and I saw a lot of USC (ha ha), like the Carolina one...beat UNC...again...missed the end of it, as it went to a lightning delay....and then finished my night watching the oh so boring Trojans beat the heck out of Hawaii...who has a turrible QB, that could have made this game close...

The Ducks are on down here...on the new station FS1...tomorrow...duh...and the game didn't even make the odds board...really?...such a discrepancy they won't put $ on it...how about the other Oregon team?...Eastern Wash...another stomp?....some close games to watch...BYU and Virginia...Northwestern and Cal...UDub and Boise St...don't get the spread on UCLA (21) and Nevada...

So...Britain says no...what on earth is Prez O thinking?...don't go yet...I am so disappointed in this direction...Syria...I thought we put him in there because he could talk and negotiate...do your job, guy...

It is hot here...like when I took Sam out last night, it was 83*...so not what it is normal...I prefer the 70 stuff...anyway...we are heading over to Coronado for the day...taking the water ferry...I think...unless, Marsh works too late...dang, these working gals...which means...Del Mar waits but another day...

Shhhh...the Pads are at the Dodgers...look for some awful stuff from SD...I will NOT watch these games...it is embarrassing...went to a party last night where that was the common theme...time to spend some $ to move ourselves up the ladder...

The NFL starts up next week...the Bolts rested their starters last eve in their lopsided loss to the 49ers...at home...imagine paying top $ for those tix...what a rip...

Johnny Football is suspended for the 1st half and yet Texas A & M is favored by 27 over Rice...ha ha...

Filner walks out of office today...does he go by helicopter like Nixon did?...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
