Mini-Streak

Seems like whenever I bad mouth the Pads, they come back in big fashion...now have won 3 in a row...and have won the series against the World Champs, the SF Giants...of course, they must get fired up after reading my blog...last night...
It took OT to finally get their 3rd...scored a gaggle of runs...8 of 'em...took a smash by a guy who has struggled mightily in crunch time...1/15 with runners in scoring position...C Nick Hundley...to be fair...their 2B muffed the ball...which should have been an inning ending double play...but...whatever...he hit it hard...and knocked in Alonso, who had hit his 3rd double of the game...in the 12th...
So now, we go for the sweep today at 1...and 4 in a row...?...

We are heading over to Little Italy today...there is a monster art walk there...5 blocks of it...it is massive and near impossible to find parking...debating about riding our bikes....or just hoofing it...

NBA...with the Thunder losing their PG Westbrook, it changes the west...they will still beat the awful Rockets...but the plot thickens after that...the Clips and the Grizzlies are polar opposites...and is a toss up...and the Warriors and Nuggets play just the same...toss up...and San Antonio prob will beat them all...but they all have a chance...not so in the east...it's Miami...

You watching any of the golf in New Orleans?....creepy alligators roaming the yard...do not go into the water searching for your ball...or even close...these guys come out and prance about...oh yea, and there are golfers trying like the dickens...nice to see Boo in the mix...especially there...somehow seems to fit...Lucas Glover probably in a cake walk...if he falters, look for Kyle Stanley or Billy Horschel....who has been so close this entire season...

Marsh made beans and ham soup...and we are paying for it this am...if you know what I mean...

One week to the Kentucky Derby...I have an early pick of Revolutionary...BUT...I have yet to really study it...someday, I'm going to go to it...someday...

Should be a huge payoff at Santa Anita for the Pick 6 today...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
