Let's be honest here...the peops absolutely go crazy in their viewing of some huge hit on the opponent...the oohs and aahs are deafening...I'm going to tell you right now, that there are guys that are meant to be in that arena...just like in the gladiators way back when...
And it seems that the normal peops of the sport want to find a way to police these big hits...make them legal...sort of...just don't hit with your head, or get hit in the head...and many of those thoughts come down to the helmet...that, originally, the idea was to make it a protective device...and now, it's used as a battering ram part of the big hit...
It does seem that there are way more head lead hits than I can remember...brutal collisions, that must hurt the hitter as much as the hittee...
Solutions?...what the league is doing is cleaning up the rules, fine the blokes, and teach proper tackling...well, how's that going, NFL?...I've even heard some pundits say that they should go back to leather helmets...interesting...I think that if you put a 6 game suspension on it, it would clean it up quickly...2nd offense, 10 games...what say you?...
OK, you know by now, I am a country music buff...whatever that means...and I know most of the current and upcoming stars in the field...well, I watched the abysmal ACA Awards last night...hosted horribly by Trace Adkins and Kristin Chenowith...turrible...and there were a bunch of acts that I have never, ever, heard of...however, Lady A and Carrie won awards, so that's OK...one more thing...I like Miranda Lambert...but...she is a weak singer...and her 15 minutes are about up, right?...I mean is she better than Martina, Sara, Carrie, and ....you know, just no way...
Speaking of brutal, head jarring hits....that come with a concussion, understood...how come nobody goes off on boxing?...that last fight was absolutely deadly...and, in the 2nd row?...your repub prez candy man and his wife...yup, Mitt...just a weird sighting...boxing huh...you remember when the heavyweight championship of the world was a huge thing?...now, I couldn't name anyone in the field, let alone the champ...can you?
Alright, some of you don't like the Housewives of.....it's Beverly Hills turn...and, of course, they are like high school clicks at their worst...and one of them, is beyond likable...sure, she was married to the guy who now is married to Leann Rimes...OMG...
Unfair award goes to...the OSU Beavers...who, never, ever, gets mentioned down here...except when they mention that Mike Riley was run out of town after getting blitzed by his GM...but now, they covered the Beaver Brawl in Corvallis, where 3 of the blokes were suspended from the team cuz of the fight at a bar there...I guess negative runs the service...
To the positive side of the NFL...if there is a better QB in the league than the Pat's Brady, well...there are some good ones....but he's the elite one...so says me...the hit RGIII took was tough to watch, but legal...slide baby slide...the Bolts are not mathematically out yet...what?...hey not so pos...the Raven's O guy, Cam Cameron got booted with 3 games to go?...what?...Norvy, there you go...2nd and 9...I can't imagine the Duck's Chip Kelly being able to use his system in the NFL...the QB would get pulverized...right?...help me out here...I do see his influence on the Patriots though...Pete Carroll has the Hawks on the rise...never, ever, gets press down here...
