A Case For

Stanford...as they beat UCLA in the crazy Pac 12 Champ Game...as these things go, the 2 best teams in the conference were in the North...obviously the Ducks and the Cardinal...too bad...it was a good game in miserable weather...and as all Stanford games seem to end up...it came down to their ace FG kicker...and they won...so, on dasher to the Rose Bowl...I'm OK with it...
If there were an 8 team playoff for the BSBCS Crown, both the Cards and Ducks would be in it...

Did you see where the USC D coach resigned?...Coach Lane's daddy...got off that sinking ship...and the rumor is that the Trojans are going to some bogus bowl to play the Triple Optioned Georgia Tech Bees, a team that sports like a 6-7 record...ha ha...I think the daddy wanted no part of trying to stop that multi-talented offensive scheme...

PNW Blazers just may be the worst in the land...they play no defense...and as crazy as this may sound, the NBA blokes do play D...just not in the PNW...get used to it Portland...as you have nothing on your bench to modify that mess...

The Lake Show...as frustrating it is to have two above average centers on the floor at the same time...and play on cruise control...it's a whole lot better than if they stayed pat with the immature Bynum...a lot of work to do...but unlike PNW, there is a group that can be molded to win some...

Surprise team thus far?...Golden St...go figure...in the east?...it would be Brooklyn...the Nets...

My favorite musical of all time?...The Sound of Music...probably watched the movie 20 times...much to  Marsh's dismay...and guess what the TV peops are going to do next year?...remake it, as in the play, for all us TV blokes...and who is going to play Maria?...what?...Carrie Underwood?...OMG, the best of both worlds...

Alabama and Georgia today...SEC Champ Game...got to go with the Tide...and to move on and play the mighty Irish for the BSBCS Crown...

On day 5 of this sickness...booooooo...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
