Crazy Horze has your insights...pay attention, kids...the Ducks at Cal is always a weird one...2 years ago, in their quest for numero uno, they escaped like 15-13, er, something like that...this time, and the timing...fresh off a huge win at USC, natural downer coming up, key defensive linemen out...RB Barner goes down, S Jackson goes down, QB Mariota goes down...Cal suddenly finds life and is within a score...and driving...and then POOF!...their play calling goes crazy...UO couldn't come close to stopping the run...and they start to pass...the D gets a reprieve...and more importantly, Mariota and Barner came back on the field...
Mariota from that time on was simply marvelous...threw a bunch of TD's...and the Ducks cruised to a 59-17 stomp...I mean, in a matter of minutes, it went from a 7 to a 28 point lead...
throw in the Alabama loss to Texas A & M...a team that also uses the hurry up O...and whose freshman QB was also tagged to come to Eugene..."Johnny Football"...he's a good one...but, better than Marcus Mariota?...naw...but you couldn't tell that to an Aggie fan today...
and what about the BSBCS?...who knows, the Ducks have 3 toughies left...Stanford, at the Beavs, and the Pac 12 Champ game...iff they win out...they need those banged up bodies healed a bit to get the W's...

Speaking of the Stanfords and the Beavs...the line favored Stanford by 4...and they won by...FOUR!...what do those guys know?...two good teams...OSU made a key mistake late, and Stanford took advantage and got the W...

And the story out of WSU...desperate to get back to being a formidable group in football...they hired the very controversial Mike Leach...who got run out of the great state of Texas...seems to have a bit of a dominating, old school football way of coaching...you know, intimidate the hell out of people and scare your way to success...being a coach in itself will do that kids...well, their top wideout called it quits and told the peops why...same old story...stay tuned...

Locally, SDSU kept rolling along...whupping the entire Air Force 28-9...and on the Aztecs roll on to yet another bowl game...go figure, as they were not too well put together early on...this year...

And finally...pray for the Bolts...as they play the tuff  Tampa Bay Bucs...
