Sporty Weekend

Prez O was very presidential in his acceptance speech to the Demos...his oration skills are the best...did he guide us like Prez Clinton?...yes, as he left the GOP attacks to Bill...and he stated more broad ranged plans for the country...this is what was needed...until the debates...

The lines for the Oregon and Oregon St games have changed...each favoring the home team by one point more, 35 and -7 respectively...another goofy article in the Trib about the SDSU's Rocky Long's lack of use of the kicking game...supporting it...get real...it's FOOTball...and did you see the 'Bama's coach going after a sportswriter for having the audacity to ask him about the cupcake game of Western Kentucky...ha ha, favored by 40...still bewildered by the line of the Oklahoma St (giving 10) and Arizona...

PGA...Rory and Tiger in the same group...was real good golf...except, they were allowed to pick their ball up and clean it...cuz of the weather...only in the fairways...have always wondered why it isn't every where...I mean...really...these guys are pros...play it as it lays...I digress....the others....Lefty has been steadily improving...should be ready for the Ryder Cup...another bloke getting left off of that select team, Bo Van Pelt, continues to impress...hey, they should have already teed it up this am...anticipating a major bout of rain and foul weather...

The Padres continue their quest for better play...and host the DBacks...hey, sweep 'em and we are almost even up...take a good peak at the starter...Andrew Cashner...flame thrower that has been out for an injury...if right, he's a very good one...and we are so close to getting our closer, Houston Street, back...he had a calf injury...should be a nice match for SD...

Did you see any of the MTV Awards?...I would switch the channels and gawk at the show for a bit...garbage...sorry, kids...this is not good stuff...in fact, embarrassing...BUT...somebody likes it and it remains an alternative...don't get it...is this the way the parents during Elvis days reacted?...is this a fair comparison?...

I found a group out of Canada that interests me....The Sheepdogs...really...kind of sound like the early 70's protest sound...which led me to buy "The Very Best of Canned Heat"....which is dang good, my friends...

Peace Out...
