I find that the sublime becomes the ridiculous in the every day game of major league baseball...it's a grinding, laborious type of play....and as the season wears on, the unexpected happens...good and bad...BUT...it has already hit the shores of San Diego...the totally inept play and demeanor of this big league club is deplorable...

The first away game of the young season is upon us...albeit, two hours away at Chavez Ravine...make that 3...and the Pads are facing one of the guys that they already have beaten...out of two...a former team mate from last year...Aaron Harang...he who may throw 88 on the gun...so, highly hittable....so a very good chance for win number three, right?

Let's just say the mighty Pads were pathetic...struck out....9 TIMES IN A ROW...KKKKKKKKKK...on their way to 18 for the game....and of course, booted the ball around to give the Dodgers enough lee way to score the win...and, like I said yesterday, another dropped ball in RF, was called a base hit...

And with all this negativity, SD found a way to tie it up in the 9th, with a 2 out dinger by Chase Headley...only to give it away in the bottom of the inning on 4 straight WALKS...only fitting...

So here's my take...and it is the one that is used most often in pro sports...can't move all the players, but there is an attitude adjustment needed...the 2b/SS combo has to be replaced...not only are they poor hitters, old, and even worse fielders...but far below the merit of big leaguers...sorry, but it is true...BUT...I think the owner less Padres should give the ENTIRE coaching staff the heave ho...normally, I favor the managers...but this team seems listless, unprepared, and disorganized...

Where's the love?  Not here, kids....
and, I am embarrassed for them...
