New Year's Eve

The flick, that is...we finally got down to the GQ movie house...and at $28 it didn't seem too bad...2 tix, a regular popcorn and a medium diet coke...is that about the price elsewhere?...really dig the big screen and sound system...so, I say, worth the price...the movie?...my partner, Marsh, gave it an A...me, it was a B...it was fast paced and fun...lurve to see the sights of NYC...Zac Efron was great and the ongoing coming out party of Lea Michele...well, you know I think she is a huge talent...get out to the theater and get lost in this one...and a final thought...there were only 3 couples (counting us) in the entire place...how do they survive?

Don't rain on my parade...but the jet stream is poked right at us...not only bringing us the wet stuff (some), but the bitter cold...albeit it is like 53*, it still is cold...last year at this day, it was 83*...geez...and you think you have it bad...

I'm going to get serious here...if you can bear arms to fight for your country at the age of 18...then you should be able to vote and drink a beer...legally...

Does it bother you that Newt has had 3 wives?  Is that a factor in your decision to whom you give your check for?  Hey, at least there not all at the same time...Big Love...I forever wonder what makes somebody decide who to endorse...the hysteric mass of coercion has begun so early this race...and the GOP parades someone new almost every week...the skeletons are searched and the top, topples off the pedestal...infidelity, flip-flopping, ignorance, abrasiveness, inadvertent sweating, money laundering, the list goes on and on...if you did it, they will find it...geez, JFK, would never have had a chance...by the way...go back about a month...and you'll see that this blogger had Newt and Mitt in the finals for the elephants...

It's the get rid of the coach time in the NFL...the Dolphins and the Chiefs let their boys go...don't worry for them, as they will come back as O or D coordinators...somewhere...and Norv?...still the guy here....as the Bolts hang on for dear playoff life...but the spiritually Tebow led Broncos need but one more win to eliminate the Chargers...Buffalo is 2 games off and do Denver's trick...bye bye Norv...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
