Sportsaholic

I could not have watched more sports than I did yesterday...began early on with ESPN's Game Day...and on until I couldn't stomach any more of the Aztecs...my random thoughts...
They stretch out Game Day wayyyyyy toooooooooo loooooooonnnnnnngggggggggg...
Oklahoma in a rout against the oh so young Longhorns...which will be pretty good in a year or two...but not now...the Sooners are a top 5 team...
ND in another rout...lets hope Air Force stays inept for another week...they host SDSU...
Tiger is slowly getting his swagger back...but needs to get a real driver to get all the way back...
Where on earth did the Husker rally come from?  Ohio St. be shell shocked...
Stanford is not only a very good team, but a class act...didn't play their starters much in the 4th Q...try that on for size Stoops Bros...
And, one game not on in my area...the Beavs get a win over the Stoops' Arizona....that had to be fun watching him go ballistic...and OSU finally celebrating...
Arkansas another formidable team...as they put away a very game Auburn...
Even with 2 rain delays, the AL series game one was about the same length of any Red Sox/Yankee one...congrats to Mike Adams and his Rangers...is this a best of 5 or 7?
The Aztecs are not very good...it's the 1st time I got to see 'em for a full game...or until, I had to turn away...their QB is no where close to what is printed...and their heralded RB...must have got in trouble, as he played little in the 2nd half...
There you have it...a full day of couch potato...what's on today?

Are you figuring out the protests?  We have ours that has been camped out in "The Children's Park"...a small group of maybe 200...and am confused what's what?  I see signs about Wall St., voting rights, gay rights, tea party, and others...what?  The movement has more life in NYC...but still not getting it...who's behind and promoting it?

The Republicans...the religious side of their party had a gathering, er convention, er congregation...you know what I mean...and mean they were...as what came out of it was an attack on the Mormon Faith...as they called it a cult and thus, limiting the support for Mitt Romney...and declaring their guy or gal was...Ron Paul...man, the party is really out there trying to find a candidate to go against Prez O...somehow, they have to come together...

We are scheduled to go to the Little Italy festival today...geez, I hope it's not coinciding with Columbus Day...you know my heritage...a stretch to honor this fella, right?  But it is a day off...and we all lurve those...son Cris has an Indian Day...now, that makes sense to me...I digress...it's music, art, food, sun...all good stuff...we bike over and take it in...

Go Bolts!

GAME DAY ON ESPN IS TOO LONG. ESPECIALLY ON DAYS WHEN THERE ARE ONLY 3 0R 4 MEANINGFUL GAMES.
JUST WATCHED THE MORNING POLITICAL TALK SHOWS AND THE REPUBLICAN MESSAGE ON THE WALL STREET PROTEST WAS REVEALED. THEY SEE IT AS A CLASS WARFARE MOVEMENT PITTING AMERICANS AGAINST AMERICANS. ERIC CANTOR HAS CALLED THEM MOBS. ITS INTERESTING THAT THEY DONT SEE THE TEA PARTY AS THE SAME THING.
THIS MOVEMENT ISNT FOCUSED YET. IT IS GROWING AND WILL GET ORGANIZED. IT WILL MEAN NOTHING UNLESS THEY CAN GET PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR THEIR IDEAS. I BELIEVE IT WILL BE THE COUNTER TO THE TEA PARTY.
COLUMBUS DAY IS THE STRANGEST HOLIDAY WE HAVE. IN OREGON ITS A TIME TO REMEMBER A STORM MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.

It's a day off...and a great one to get discounts at Macy's...now if we only had some $...most of the protesters around here are college students and those who wish they were...
