Figures

So I'll go through my concerns of yesterday lines on the NCAA games...the home team dogs won...Kansas and TCU...and the Michigan win over ND was a heart stopper as they turn back the negatives under the former SDSU coach, Brady Hoke...and speaking of the Aztecs, they survive 2 blown calls, and beat Army, in NY...and BYU, playing so well against Texas...real surprise...just what was going on at USC?  the line was 8 1/2 and the officials waved off the TD that would have made it 9 at the buzzer...woah...I smell something fishy....and talk about smelly, the Beavers, as they go scoreless against the Badgers...and what about the team that whupped 'em the week before?  Sac St. got drilled by Southern Utah...yup, that power house...my concerns about the Ducks?...on hold now...as they thoroughly destroyed the Wolfpack...69-20...with the starters barely playing more than a 1/2...and holy Batman, what's going on in Pullman?  Shellacked UNLV 59-7...finally, thank goodness that Coastal Carolina played like dogs rather than cats as they beat Catawba 20-3...if you saw this coach on ESPN, you know what I mean...

Speaking of pity...the pitiful Padres blow another lead and lose...again...this time it's the closer's turn...Heath Bell gave up two dingers in the 9th...and then the DBacks walk into a walkoff to win it...close your eyes kids...

The memorial for the fallen in the east is really sad....and when we wonder why anyone has any compassion for the destruction of Bin Laden...well, it goes beyond words...

The NFL...it's ago for the Bolts as they take on the Vikings...I saw a bunch of Minnesota jerseys around the Gaslamp last night...that's a very cool part of where we live...the people who come here to watch their team play...and they always hit GQ...it is always festive...we were out last night as we met up with one of Marsh's amigas...Hard Rock, Strip Club, and Las Hadas...nice night...I digress...my extreme picks for the day...Balt over Pitt...Browns over Cincy...SF over Seat...and, my upset special...Skins over the Giants...

Go Chargers!

Talkin Ducks:
Enjoyed the game even though it was over by halftime. Some notable notes. Why didn't Josh Huff play? And why is on one asking? Darron looked great throwing but he had lots of time. TE David Paulson had no receptions and only one last week. He has best hands on team.
This team is young! Fr. DeAnthony is amazing, Fr. Colt Lyerla made great catch for TD. Fr. Tra Carson carried the ball well in slop time.
Fr. Troy Hill returns interception 45 yds. There are only about 7 sr. starting out of 22 positions. LB Michael Clay left game with injury. That would be a big loss.
I wish teams wuoldn't schedule teams like Mizz St. What do you accomplish? Nevada is a good preseason team because they can play even though they were down this year.

Well, the Ducks have a mountain to climb to get back in the BSBCS race. And your Beavs...how much longer they going to put up with the Life Of Riley?

The poor Beavs. I do mean poor as in not enough resources to recruit the level of athletes that it takes to compete these days. I like Riley and think he's done a remarkable job the last ten yrs. It isn't scheme that is killing the Beavs, its talent and depth.
The state tends to love the Beavs because they play local boys, but that won't beat Wisconsin. They have an uncommon amount of injuries and that has to be questioned. If the Pac twelve brings in The OKL schools, you will see the Beavs sink further.
I love the setting in Corvallis and have always thought of it as the perfect college town.

And from the great state of Oregon, running for the office of secretary of state, Mr. Dave Snooki! "I feel strongly both ways. Both of our fine institutions have great coaching and just have patience."
