The Track

Finally went to Del Mar yesterday...hey kids, this is horse racing, very good horse racing...and we went by the Coaster in lieu of driving and it was coooool...I did my normal...got a racing form...this time online...studied and had what I wanted to bet for the pick 3 and pick 5...pick the winners of the first 3 and 5 races of the day...what a trip as I hit the pick 3 and started to sweat out the pick 5...and yup, hit it...first time I had ever done so...only paid $232...but I had five in the race covered and the tops was $858, which came in 2nd...I'll go back next Thursday or Friday...

Weird day in Pitt...recently departed Ludwick got 4 hits for them...but we hit 4 dingers and scored 15...fifteen...10 +5...wooah...remember that the Pirates are in a huge dive...losing 10 of 11...cheers for the Pads as they have won in Pitt 7 straight times...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
