Terrific Saturday

What a huge day for a lot of my favorite teams....
Who'd a thunk the weekend the Bud Black led Padres have had...I know it's not over...but the potential is there...beat SF again...and now, another must win...Matt Latos goes and well, it's sweaty palms once more...
The Ducks...what a marvelous comeback...there is no team faster in the land...with all the hype on the Card's Luck...there are more weapons in Eugene...and what's with that weather? Totally terrific...
Overall, I was 8-2 on my pix again (16-4 overall)...what a goofy end to the Tennesee/LSU...it was over and the Vols won...oops, too many players on D...replay the last play...and the Tigers score and win...
BYU loses again and then they fire the defensive coach...a typical method of operandi for that school and...well, you know what I mean...boo...you live in that world, you lucky people...
The Beavers beat the Sun Devils...can't figure this group out...but, great on OSU...makes a big difference where the games are played...
Go tell that to USC...as the Huskies go in and steal it from the Trojans...I'm not fond of the coach there...I'm redundant on that, I know...
Bama over the Gators...very, very, good team...

Europe completely dominating the US of A in the Ryder Cup...just why did the long haired kid get picked? With all the grizzled vets hanging around...you pick that guy? The NFL blacks out SD's games here...and then we get stuck with some horrible other game...yuck and yuck...

CNN fired one of their anchors 'cuz he called Jon Stewart something...you know, he had the Rick's list show...kind of a off the cuff show in itself...show some balls CNN...

Lady luck...naw...it's the 19th straight win for Zenyatta...it's a horse stupid...going against all comers in Grade 1...over at Hollywood Park...the last race for her will be at the Breeder's Cup in Kentucky later this month...

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... I keep asking this...what does Putin have on trump, anyway...it must be a formidable foible... Talk to me, kids... This ploy of the orange...to actually simulate a firing squa...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
