Serenity Now

The Ocotillo Earthquake...rattled the Gaslamp last night at a mere 5.9 scale...the walls shook, the glasses clanked, the dog barked, and I moved to the center of the room...don't think I'll ever get used to the natural movement of this earth's crust...the center was in Ocotillo ( a cactus like thinger), just east of us on the Mexican border...I was watching the Pads game and there was a bunch of nervous laughter as it hit, for about 20 seconds....and the laughter subsided as the SD squad used their "B" team pitchers and conceded the loss to the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-3...ugly, ugly, ugly game...serenity now...
The NBA elongated series heats back up tonight in LA...I can't believe that I am actually pulling for the Lakers...probably 'cuz I carry this hatred for former Jail Blazer Sheed, who continues his thuggish way of play...and would win a ring...LA must get the ball inside to win the game...oh well, it is high drama...serenity now...
Juran van der sloot...he's going to try anything to get his butt out of Peru...he is trying to say he'll lead the authorities to where he dumped the body of the Alabama gal...they will have none of his jibberish, I hope...he claims that there are real bad men in the Peruvian jails...serenity now...
The Open at Pebble Beach cranks up on Thursday...of course, the TV cameras will follow Tiger where ever he goes...but, the odds on fav is Lefty...he is primed...
but the story line is always the potential brilliance of Tiger, or, his train wreck....serenity now...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
