Your Stocks

So do you understand your stock market?  Me, not so much...as we witnessed the downturn last week, including the 1000 point mid-day drop...fear gripped us again...as the naysayers said, "see I told you"...and we go through the process of putting our money in "safe" spots...then give yourself the weekend, and!  poof the market corrects itself over 400 points...the experts say the downer happened due to the European market....and then without them knowing, the Euro has a bailout, and up back comes their market, thus ours...

Strange day for the Padres...1st the scheduled starter gets a family emergency (his younger collegiate brother died}, and departs...the replacement guy is coming off a recent blown game...he actually does well, including driving in the go ahead runs...then watches in frustration as the pen struggles and gives up some runs...many of the normal starters are rested as we play our "B" team...and then give the game away on a routine grounder to the ss...beisball, oy vay...

The Players...more strange stuff....1st of all, the come from nowhere win by tiny Tim Clark...only one of two guys to beat the course up on Sunday...the struggling of the final group ie. Westwood and Allenby....the non- charge of Lefty...and the curious on course quit by Tiger...a foot note here, the scribes talk and show pix of the latter rather than the former...let it be already...

Did you see the finals of the Amazing Race?  The names the pairs call each other would be a problem anywhere else...regardless the brothers win, as the cowboys and the dating couple finish 2 and 3...the lowlight was where the lesbians verbally attack the beauty contestant once the race was over...see, I told you their names were something else...

It's Monday so it must be cleaning day...
