The Derby

The Kentucky Derby...the grand daddy of them all...no better singular horse race anywhere...my goal is to get there...well, today it's the day, kids...
My choices...Sidney's Candy, Mission Impazible, and Homeboykris....if I am close enough to bet, it's $10 across the board on all of them...special thoughts that MI will steal the race...
The Padres win again!  2 straight over the Hoffman led Brewers...we have tonight's game...5:35...remain in first place...take that scribes...
NBA...Lakers knock off the press's love the Thunder (Supersonics)...and the Jazz upset the other press love, the Mavs...pity to the Blazers who muddled thru their loss to the Suns...this is the longest playoff season in the history of pro hoops...
Did you follow your pro golf?  Your Tiger played like you or I, with a 43 on the back and is bumped out of it...
In my overview of our trip up north...met great friends and had a blast...the house is ready to go...we have very conservative friends...hopefully, not Sarah types...and we'll be back as soon as the place sells $$$
But, it's nice to get back to wearing shorts, only...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
