Easter as I know it

Dependent on your faith (if any)...oops, there I go, inflaming you non-believers...Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus, 3 days after his crucifixion...which has carried it's symbol all this time to...nowadays...truly amazing, as the numbers have fallen of those who attend a church like area...with all the problems of certain religions and the like...it is a wonder that it still exists...but, in reality, commercialism has taken over...the eggs, the brunch, the clothes, the money making schemes...hey, I'm being real here...think of most of the holidays, they are perpetuated by the almighty dollar and the advertising of the same...for whatever you believe (or not), family is the most important part of this life...so whatever it takes, make it be this Easter Day, and believe in your family ...
Speaking of believing, who could have done so with the underdogs, the over-achievers, the Cinderellas, the Hoosier like,...Butler squad getting to the finals of the Big Dance!  And my oh my, dare I say this, the Devils (Blue) are to be their opponents...thank goodness the finals aren't played on this day...no way a devil can win on Easter Day...but tomorrow?  Probably...
It's opening day for MLB...Boston vs. NY...must be non-believers to play on Easter...the naysayers are still barking about the Padres and their lack of $ to produce a winner...take heed you doubters, it will happen...
The Blazers survived a mighty effort by the Kings, and continued their road to the playoffs...albeit a 7th or 8th place...watching Andre Miller run up and down the floor reminds me of well...me...he is ancient...
The weather was great my friend, and I again survived the links...actually had a stud partner and won $ at the course...praise be to the driver as the putter sucks...

Very well written Peter, and sometimes its scary how much we think alike. Well except for the baseball shit. Bought a new truck yesterday for some reason and now feel very manly. Easter with the Grand kids and life is good! You and Marsha will always be the best!

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
