But we had a little excursion up north this weekend...flew up to be with my son and his gurl...teeth cleaning and x-rays...OK, it was a check up...had an awesome meal at a new place in old town...then hit Napa Valley...joined a wine club and had a beut of a time...70* and a perfect 10...hit 5 spots and agreed that the most bang for our bucks was at Markham...ordered 2 six packs, and we split the last "04 merlot they had in their winery!  I can't tell you how many people we're in the area...thousands...
So what was going on while I was away?
The DUIx fired their hoops coach after 13 years...Ernie Kent has had so many personal brushes with the U that I think they were just waiting for a down year to remove him...new coach for a new arena...
USD voicing reservations about their coach...former Gonzaga asst. Bill Grier...it's all about now...and he has to come up with a great recruiting class...and that's what it's all about in D-1 hoops...great guy who deserves a good one...
SDS quest for the big dance...continued talk about being on the bubble...needs a big weekend and that's the way it should be...
What has happened to North Carolina?
The Oscars...appears that all those who were supposed to win did...what was with Charlize Theron's dress?  Her ego is beyond belief...have not watched the replay yet...
Big Love final...and now the family is out...gotta love it...
Hot win for the Colombian down in Florida...I'm talking tackling the Bear trap and winning by 5...Camillo Villegas....hip, hip, hooray

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... Boss was one of the belles of the ball...yes, she still looks great...you know that....well, the rest of her class did not know that, until last eve...she was flitting (flirting) about so...which made me smile...and that is only the beginning of it...the REAL reunion is tonight...one of my FRIENDS reminded me that is the gals reunion...which I think is most reunions...it is for...

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......
