Town Hall Meetings


So there is this plan to go around the country and discuss the projected national health plan by the new Obama regime...one of the methods is by hosting town hall meetings...it's a process that the Prez used when he was running for the job he now has earned...he can talk...but now he has the rest of his party TRYING to do the same thing...well, not everyone can talk like him...which gets me to my point the hard way...who is behind the volatile opposition that has erupted in these meetings? Are they just frustrated republicans? Are they a result of private town hall meetings that have been formed to show opposition? Are they groups that come out of the christian right? Or, are they a product of the insurance lobbyists? Just where are these groups being formed? Very interesting...
So your favorite singer, Madonna, is singing in Bucharest (Hungary) (?) and decides to open up about the plight of the gypsies in the area...seems to be a verboten thing in that area and she gets booed off the stage...know your audience...
And now your football hero, Michael Vick, gets the chance to play in the NFL...after his prison time for using dogs as combatants...and, of course, the public (football) is totally forgiving...
Have you seen the Rick Pitino interview? OMG...what was he thinking?
Back to the NFL...their silly season that contains 4 pre-season games have been mentioned to be cut to 2...yet their other 2 would be added to the real counters...enough already...NOBODY likes the early non-counters...
If you follow Big Brother, they definitely got rid of the right person last night...
As Del Mar wraps up their season, I am in awe of how beautiful and fast those race horses are...what magnificent animals...

The NFL should play pre-season games. They are scrimmages and should be treated as such. That was the original intent until TV got involved then all of a sudden people cared who won. Its like the NBA summer league, who gives a shit? other than the coaches. They aren't broadcast on nat. tv during prime time. Go to Daryl Hall on google and then to live at Daryl's House. 22 great jam sessions with new and old artists. I can go for that. You will love it. Matt Nathanson is one of mt favs. Smokey is this months feature.

Will do. Well the NFL does play scrums against other teams...but they then have to play at arenas...for the $...it's crap and some franchises may you buy in if you want to keep your season tix...

Good morning all, from the great state of Oregon...this whole trip is about FRIENDS!...meeting up with peops we have been with over our years in the PNW...and for Boss's reunion....the opening act was a combo party of the two at this pad, a bar, called Johnny's...simply said, it was fun... The stories were there, the faces remained the same...and it tickled moi, that so many FRIENDS showed up...unfortunately, I did not get enough time to talk to all, please forgive me...when you go back some 60 years, my memory does fade a tad...well, and so does their's...ha ha...believe me, it was worth the trip... O Yeah!

When the thesaurus ran it's new version...it highlighted the word 'oration'...and there it was ... President Barack Obama...and then there is more..... see...Michelle Obama ...these two have the fundamental prowess of giving speeches...at the right time...at the right place... No better example of this, than last night at the DNC...each were marvelous...of course ...it's what people, special people, like these two...do...carry a message across the Nation...that we all can not only understand, but agree with... For seemingly years, the Horse has said...that if Michelle O wanted to be in the White House, AGAIN...this time as the President, and not the wife...she could ...however, for right now...she is supporting the right choice...for this time of the history of our country.... Tonight, we hear another exceptional orator...President Bill Clinton ...it's almost like taking a class in college...Speech 101...BTW, I was turrible at it...just in case you were wondering......

The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter...
