Stop The Presses #2


It is now at the absurd point. Kevin Kouzmanoff, the much maligned 3B of the Padres (by me), hit a 3-run tater to beat the Phillies yesterday. The Pads are now 9-3 and have the swagger we were all hoping for...HBell gets save no. 7 and it is all roses...go figure...it's all good.
The Trailblazers did not solve the Yao thing like I feared...he hit for 24 in the 1st half and PDX never threatened...as the Rockets take over the home court advantage...Houston had many more easy shots and it may be one and done for the Rose City hoop squad...
Am I right that the Celtics look like everyone else without the Big Ticket?
The PGA is in S Carolina and 'cuz Tiger is not there...nobody cares...
Bad news on local Salem boy...Jed Lowrie appears to have a major wrist injury and lose the entire season over it...too bad as he was the starting SS for the BSox...

After writing about the DL the other day, I noticed an overabundant amount of players socked right into it...just makes you wonder...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
