World Series
The match up of the 2 most unlikely teams gets going tonight. The Rays and the Phillies have been in the spotlight the entire season but doubters have been in the majority. The Rays in particular have had the season their way, but most felt they would crumble in the real pressure at the end of the season. I guess not.
Their young pitching staff, their young hitters, and their youthful confidence will carry them to another Florida title. The Marlins had a similar season back a few years. The team was shortly disbanded for greener ($) pastures and I fear the same for these guys.
Yet, it is nice not to see the likes of the Yankees and the Bosox in the Series. Money can't buy everything.
The Phils have great pitching, some outstanding long ball hitters, but questionable relievers. There in lies the difference to me.
