The Strait...Open or Closed?


The euphoric jump in the Stock Market...as the Strait of Hormuz was declared OPEN...and the stocks went crazy up...as the price of oil, and petrol, went down...good news to the massive amount of consumers...alas, it has proven to be temporary...as Iran is said to have taken control of the Strait and said it is now CLOSED...due to the nearness of the trump naval brigade...what else would you call it?...my guess is that this will be a give and take thing...open closed open closed...until there is a true settlement in the trump WAR with Iran...as, somehow, Lebanon is connected to it...and of course, Israel...

The state of the judicial system, via the trump cabinet...shambles...first, he fired Pammy Bondi...and now his FBI 'leader', Krazy Kash Patel...is reported AWOL...drunk as a skunk, somewhere...imagine working in that division now...the rumor is that KK is so worried about his job, he is avoiding the poopah,  and is drinking himself silly. er sillier...yea, that's the boss of the Federal Bureau of Investigation...just another trump fine appointee...

All the while, trump is nestled down in Vegas...he has this passion for pro-rasslin...there is a big one this weekend...and where else to see his 'people', then at one of these events...teeth or no teeth...no problem, USA folk, Whiskey Pete is at the helm in the Middle East...while the poopah plays around...

The Friars...as I warned you all about the last nite's game at Anaheim...the Angels pitcher is on a roll, ours is not, and the home team won it easily 8 zip...stopping, er, ending our 8 game win streak...not sure of our lineup....questioning the skipper...sorry...as he led off with the highly struggling Cronenworth , hitting about .138!...and sitting our 'normal' lead off dude, Laureano, who is batting .290...makes sense to you?...not to me...oh well, another chance today...start a new streak...ah, winning one...

This buy, is the highest paid EVER for a MLB team...shattering the Mets purchase for $2.4 billion dollars...there it is, San Diego's claim to fame...now let's win...

OK, the nonsensical 'play in' games of the NBA playoffs are done...these one and done things...as the Suns beat the Warriors, and the 76ers beat the Hornets, each now getting the 8th seed of their side of the bracket...silly, I say...as they already played 82 games to get where they should be...am tickled that the Blazers are in...vs the Spurs...I guess the only thing I want in the 1st real round...is for the Lakers to lose...hate the Lakers...

The Cali governor race...now that Erik Swalwell dropped out...there is a horse race to the top of the heap...man, the voting pamphlet came out yesterday to our mail...and lordy, there were a gaggle of people running...some actually listing NOTHING in their backgrounds...egads...why?...just to say they ran?...does a 'Green' candidate have a chance in Hell of winning?...no...wish Kamala would step in and get er done...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
