The Strait News


It was the Suez Canal...then the Panama Canal, that was mentioned so much...as critical...but, oh my...the OIL that now dominates the World...changed those prior two, to the Strait of Hormuz...which was NEVER talked about...right?...imperative to get that cleared, so those who need the OIL, can survive...UNLESS, they figure out a land passage, via the diesel trucks...trucks, semis, anyhoo...

So what is going on today at the Strait?...the so called 'destroyed Iranian Navy' has captured at least TWO, oil tankers...trying to pass through...as trump has declared a 2-5 day moratorium on the 'ceasefire'...guess Iran is not privy to that...or, is NOT going to abide by what the poopah pops off with...

More of the same?...lots of threats, and...we shall see...to say that things look bleak, is an understatement...

In his personal desire to stay in office, trump has been instructing his pawns in the states, to gerrymander districts....so he can 'WIN' the mid terms...as if he loses, he will be impeached and 'here we go again'...you know this already...however, the opposition, the Demos, have been working on the same thing to combat his directions...in Texas, their Congress themselves shoved the gerrymandering through...without the vote of the people...now, yesterday, Virginia, there was a vote of the PEOPLE...and it went the Demo way...another probable outcome of the mid terms...no doubt, the catsup was flying...

The Friars are now...at the TOP of the heap....!!!...with a nail biter...1-0 over the Rockies in Colorado...still without firing on all cylinders, as some of our top hitters, are not belting the rock...BUT, the hurlers are doing great...which is beisbol, right?...pitching...

Dang it, them Lakers won again...is it that they are good, or are the Rockets bad?...a combo of the two...hate the Lakers...alas, it is good for the pixels...as masses love LA...

He is alive and kicking...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The distancing of trump with the public, was a bit weird, right?. ..he emerged and was talking the same...his appearance was a bit shaggy...he must have had the flu, or, well, Covid, or something...but, he is NOT DEAD....and still up to his shenanigans...same old...anything to bring up, to divert the people from hearing about the Epstein Files ...he unabashedly, called the whole thing a 'Democratic Hoax'... Hmmm...as 6 of the Survivors of it...(the Epstein Case) ...were talking, not only to the House....but, to the public, yesterday...as MTG was front and center with it...which, too, was odd...a fallout from trump?...or, a plant within the group?...no, trump, it is not a hoax.....

Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
