Good morning, kids...the topic today...is the voting process for 'Hall of Fames'...usually, has to do with sports...but, could be just as well to music, acting, and well, most anything that 'honors' someone for lifetime achievement...the concept is great...the methodology is different in all cases...

Who decides who is 'deserving for the award?'...usually a 'select' group...OK, fine...but let's deal with pro sports for a bit...for the Pro Football HOF (Hall of Fame)...there are 50 such 'members'...mostly sports writers...hmmm...one from each NFL city...and a group of 'at large' peops...and it takes 80% of them, to vote for a person to get into the HOF...why 80%, I dunno...

Sport's writers...pretty much a dying breed...as is the newspaper...right?...are they truly qualified to do the voting?...did the 'potential' candidate cross the writer in the past?...thus, holding a grudge?...solution, Horse?...of course, I have one...

Players, coaches, should be part of this honor...when I was coaching...it was the fellow coaches who did the voting...so, if you were honored for an award, it was from your peers...I got the honor a couple of times, and it was the greatest moment for moi...well, one of the greatest...from your peers...not from some writers...

Here's a twist, have the officials, the referees, do theirs...ha ha, I would never have won an award...well, for the most antagonistic one...

Yes, I strayed...but the point...it is a derivative from the Pro Football HOF, not voting Bill Bellicheck in on the 1st ballot...if anyone deserved it more than him, name the bloke...more than 10 of the 50, thought he wasn't deserving...no doubt, cuz he wouldn't say much at the after game pressers...

My lord, and let's not even get into the Oscars...many of the 'winners' are simply turrible...who voted for them?...how much cash came into the voter's hands?...implying?...well, you know...

Is there a HOF for presidents?...sorry, kids, just had to say it...

We had a 'handyman' out for a door fix...he literally took less than 2 minutes for the job...which proves even more, how un-handy I am...the cost?...$80 for the call...somehow, I missed my calling...

The headlines all over my sources...Rep Ilhan Omar 'attacked' in a speech in Minnesota...such a divide, people...the difference, the attacker, was not shot and killed...

Melania, on a stump to promote her flick...will ring the Stock Market bell this morning...she had a message on the pixels yesterday....not sure if it was English, tho....ICE, where are you?...

FF Noem, her days are numbered as the whatever she is...Secretary of ICEtapo...Congress repubs, even in agreement...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
