Da Weekend


Much to my surprise, the golf course...was smiling upon us...Singing Hills...what a wonderful name, right?...I was expecting some rain, perhaps, later in the round...not...as it was absolutely beautiful the entire 4 and a half hours...yes, it took that long...thanks goodness, the weather was splendid...but, man, it is hard to play that game, waiting and waiting...and waiting...especially for a hack like me...there aren't enough excuses for bad shots...don't cry for me, most of the States...ha ha...as you bask in bitter cold and snowy conditions...well, I like snow, too...but NOT rain...

How about ICE?...and always have, hated ICE...now, more than ever...how on earth can those 'wannabe cops' arrest a 5 year old?...what is wrong with this regime of trump's?...have you no shame?...arrest the child, and then the parents will show up....and then grab and incarcerate them...if you all don't see the similarities to what Hitler did in the 30's, you, are off your rocker...which you really must be...the Gestapo, and the hunt, was not the brown skinned people, but the Jewish...egads, what a mess this man has put the country in...I know, I keep repeating myself on this...but it needs to be written and talked about ALL THE TIME!...until there are changes....

BOP, trump's 'Board of Peace'...another sale job by him...playing cards, Bibles, tennis shoes, caps, shirts, watches, crypto, and more...to go into his bank account...charging a billion bucks to join...a reporter on the trump one...the aeroplane...asked him where this money goes?...he hemmed haw around and said gibberish...we all know the answer...into his account like all the others...the scam artist...and not only maga buying in, but actually some countries, too...egads...

Was informed that a new web net app was flowing....Substack...so, the Horse is on it, now...another read and has interesting posts by others...many 'stars' so to speak...and many politicians...listen, kids...get info is all about being aware of what is happening...try it...and let me know what ya'll think...

Peace in Ukraine?...give me a break...as Putin has smashed as much as he can in that country...just today, knocking out most of the electricity in it...as trump keeps proclaiming 'his' peace prize, but, he has no control...or INFLUENCE over what Russia does...some may say, he is a patsy...

OMG....Jared!...not the jewelry store, but trump's son in law...Kushner...has the audacity to give his plans for a rebuilt Gaza!!!...no doubt, a trump resort is part of it...what a sham, yet again...as the end of Palestine is what he and Israel want...and apparently, need...call it East Israel?...we are getting played, kids...stay tuned to this...

Another day until the semis in the NFL play-offs...yes, I lurve these games...and the pundits, as of yesterday...disagree with moi...surprise surprise surprise...they have the home teams winning...alas, I admit, I know nuttin'...they do it for a living...ESPN actually brings on a betting guru to finish off their broadcast...just to know, and keep us all informed...that there are boucoup bucks bet on these games...no, not me (The Orlons)...

Scotty Scheffler is tied at the top in the desert....-17...egads, this guy is for real...duh...not as flashy as Tiger...but, man oh man, almost as good...if not better...in his prime...unorthodox, much like Arnie (Arnold Palmer) and that gives the rest of us duffers a prayer...to being OK...which brings my memory to a teaching and golfing buddy I had, years back...he, too, was a Tiger...really, Jim Nicholson...we called each other 'hack' and 'duff'...he has since passed and is greatly missed by all who knew him....

This is not a chauvinist statement...well, it's not supposed to be...but TG for ladies for cleaning up messes...if guys, do so, it looks like guys have done it...it's usually still a mess...the ladies, it looks like nothing ever happened...we have a name for the efforts of the man, but it is confidential...

YUP, we are finding that 'adopting a dog'...might be one of the hardest things to do...shelters?...humane societies?...breeders?...egads, some are asking over 3 grand...even the shelters are asking like $750+...maybe a cat, might be better for us...

Finally, we are setting up for a famous thing that our good friend Tom Mackle (RIP) did...a 'walkabout'...just hitting the road in Cosmo...and letting the good gracious ways of the path, lead us...we will just go...where?...we don't know...so, if you see us, and we seem lost...we just may be...

Top of the morning, friends...as we embark on a shortish Cosmo trip (6+ hours) up north to see the kids. ..we try to see them every month or two....whatever works for us, and them...school has just started for them...and Cy has both football and soccer, he is playing...Cas, at 3, is still a wannabe... The Ignominy

So much for diplomacy ... the absolute embarrassment by the current President of the US...his actions in 'hosting' the Ukranian President Zelensky ... as it turned out, a highly visual representation of bullying by trump...the manners and methodology that he uses on people...aligned with his arse kissers, waiting their turn to take potshots at Zelenksy...all well orchestrated ...it was the ULTIMATE IGNOMINY of our country's 'leader'...unfortunately, for us, too...as somehow we are connected to that ogre...in reality, we are not... hoping the rest of the World can see that...here are samples of the headlines throughout that depict the sentiment of the slaughter... We are NOT aligned with Putin...WE ARE NOT!...trump is ...which begs a different query...how much longer can this idiocy go on?... Hometown Baseball

You might think back to all the rivalries you have witnessed over the years...in high school, college, ah, well, team sports...shoot, could be choirs, math contests, and the like...BUT...the thrill of it all, is what I am talking about...I could name a hundred such things...that I recall...however, right now...there is one brewing in the Gaslamp...the Friars are hosting the Bums...believe it or not, this is new...you see, the Padres have been borderline pathetic for many seasons...not that they haven't had good ones...but, consistency has not been a virtue...things have changed...and the squad has deepened... The Bums have long had their nemesis, and or rivalry cat, as the San Francisco Giants...no mas...it is the Friars...the team that knocked them outta the playoffs last year...and here they come, to make avenge...3 games this weekend over at Petco...they have been playing super lately...really really super...the Pads?...hit and miss...my guess, is that the juices will flow for b...
