We need a distraction ourselves...from the mess in DC...I could go on and on...and on...about how the country is being hornswoggled by the grand poopah...and I do, quite often...as he does what he does...infuriating the likes of me...and you...unless you are a maga...and if you are one, you NEVER watch the news...well, does FOX count?...some read me, and counter my thoughts...which is OK, to a point...

Can't recall a president, that just sits there...ALWAYS with his pawns sitting either beside him, or behind him...he must be the most fragile, insecure man of our generation...well, of all generations...blubbering about, and name calling anyone who asks a question that he doesn't like...the softball ones, he loves...all the others, he not only hates the Q, but belittles the journalist...what a job...

Dang if I didn't get off on a tangent...my regrets...the story line today, is the emergence of an actor/director...that has made numerous flicks...feel good ones...as he started off as a character on the infamous CBS mega show 'All in the Family'...Rob Reiner...so lovingly called 'Meathead' in it, as so nicknamed by Archie Bunker...Carroll O'Connor the actor...this was groundbreaking at the time...you know it, and well worth watching an episode or two...now...

As Rob dabbled a bit into the motion picture field...'Spinal Tap' was his first, which we are going to see...but, it costs right now...and we are on a fixed income...so, you know...but, the one that caught my fancy...back when...was a flick filmed in Oregon...'Stand By Me'...if you haven't seen it, you must...how about 'When Harry Met Sally'...terrific...'A Few Good Men'...not so feel good, but a dandy...'Ghosts of Mississippi'...and one, we came upon last eve...can't believe we had never seen it...

'And So It Goes'...which he cameoed in...Diane Keaton and Michael Douglas, were the stars...yes, it was free to us...via Prime...another, need I tell ya, must see...in fact, make a list of all his films...and do it...watch 'em...we are...if they are free...

MLB Playoffs...the Damn Yankees are now out (Bye Bye Boonie)...the other 3 matches, TBD....surprising that the Phillies beat the Bums in LA, last eve...man, I am in shock and awe by the Blue Jays...well, I never pay attention to them in the regular season...

We are finally home...me back seems ok...thanks for asking...doubt if I golf, until Monday...we have zero food at the condo...so, today is the Costco run....have yet tried to start up the VW...hope hope hope...

The line of the Duck game is 7 1/2...which still confuses me...and wait, Ohio St is at Illinois...a surprise there?...Oklahoma at Texas...Michigan at USC...could be an upset weekend...at least, some fine games to behold...

A truce in Gaza?...hostages (the ones still alive) may be released?...seems too good to be true...all orange is worried about?...if it works, then he will get the Nobel Peace prize...right?...
